NAME: Janelle Miller

NICKNAME: nelly, nell bell miller

DATE OF BIRTH: april 23, 1986 (yeah I’m old, so what!)

HOME TOWN: Lethbridge Alberta

SPONSORS: parents, volkl, technica, marker, Castle Mountain Resort

YOUR FAVOURITE WAY TO RELAX: on a beach in the sun drinking mohiitos but this doesn’t happen very often unfortunately, and well driving

NAME ONE ITEM YOU WOULD ALWAYS HAVE IN YOUR FRIDGE: frozen hash browns (well technically they are in the freezer), beer

FAVOURITE MOVIE: Sin City, and the Devil Rejects

FAVOURITE BOOK: 5 people you meet in heaven, and Go Ask Alice

WHEN DID YOU FIRST START SKIING AND WHERE: well I started in the backpack, but as soon as I could walk I was beating the folks down the hill, so I think I was before 2 but I need to ask the folks.  I started Castle Mountain in the powder (that was over my head of course!).

ATHLETES MOST ADMIRED: Myself! No I would say my mother.  She is the diehard out running in minus 30 weather. Come on that is dedication!

HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR SKI RACING CAREER SO FAR: Placing 3rd at Canadian Nationals overall in Combined, winning the provincial champion in J2, and becoming the New Zealand SL champion.  Those would be the top three, but there are many more.

YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT SKIING:  In the morning watching the sun come up on the hill, and no one else is around (its a cool feeling).  Also wearing spandex and delaying reality of real life.

LONG TERM GOAL IN SKIING: To be able to beat all the boys on the team. No umm seriously to be able to compete for New Zealand competitively on the international stage.

FAVOURITE QUOTE (AND BY WHOM): “its not how you get up, its how you get down” Warren Miller and “take it easy and if its easy take it twice” not to sure but it’s a good one.
