FIS ATHLETE DECLARATION FORM
ALL ATHLETES
MUST REGISTER WITH SRNZ ONLINE, PAYMENT CAN BE MADE EITHER ONLINE OR OFFLINE
Please note that offline payments (except multiple year registrations) attract a fee of $25 plus normal registration fees.
ALL MEMBERS OF SRNZ MUST ALSO BE A MEMBER OF A MEMBER CLUB.

Entry level, National and existing International FIS registrations are to be submitted to SRNZ by Member Organisations prior to June 30th 2008.
ATHLETES REGISTERING FOR A FIS LICENCE FOR THE FIRST TIME SHOULD DO SO PRIOR TO MAY 30TH 2008.
Existing National Licence numbers can be found on the SRNZ website under Points Lists and FIS registration numbers on the FIS website.
Overseas Athlete Registration
Overseas athletes must register for a National Licence in order to compete in National events; they must also prove they are a member of a club either overseas or in New Zealand.
The cost for an overseas athlete to register for National Points is the same as normal New Zealand athletes.
1. Entry Level Registration:
Age Requirements for Entry Level Registration: 1998 and later.
All athletes training with a member organisation
(or through a Member Organisation training provider) are required
to register with SRNZ.
Registered Entry Level athletes (renewable annually) will be eligible to:
a) Be a member of Ski Racing New Zealand
b) Compete in the Entry Level events and the junior event at the North Island and South Island Championships
2. National Licence Registration:
Age Requirements for National Registration: Born 1997 or earlier.
Athletes holding a national registration (renewable annually) will
be eligible to:
a) Be a member of Ski Racing New Zealand
b) Compete in all K Cup races and North Island and South Island Championships etc
c) Be included on the National Registered athletes list
d) Apply for an International FIS licence (subject to age and criteria
- refer below)
Documentation required for a NEW National Registration:
Proof
of age (e.g. copy of Birth Certificate, Passport)
3. FIS Competition:
Age Requirements for FIS Registration: Born 1993 or earlier.
IMPORTANT: Athletes registering for FIS for the first time should do so prior to May 30th in order to be included on the 1st FIS list (July 2008), in order to guarantee participation in the FIS events during the 2008 New Zealand season.
Athletes holding a current international FIS registration number (renewable
annually) will be eligible to:
a) Compete in FIS races in New Zealand and overseas
b) Be included on the FIS Points List and gain FIS points
The following qualification policy applies for New Zealand
athletes competing in FIS races:
a) Hold a current National Points registration number
b) Born 1993 or earlier
c) Hold a current FIS registration number NB: All athletes entering
a FIS or Continental Cup race must have a valid FIS code issued by
the FIS prior to making an entry.
d) Sign the Athletes Declaration
Documentation required for NEW FIS Licence:
Proof of age and proof of NZ citizenship (e.g. copy of relevent passport page or birth certificate)
Signed Athlete's Declaration form (see link above)
SRNZ recommends that all athletes registering for a FIS Licence undergo a medical examination in accordance with FIS ICR rule 221.1:
National Ski Associations are responsible for the fitness of their competitors to race. All competitors, male and female, are required to undergo a thorough evaluation of their medical health. This evaluation is to be conducted within the competitors own nation.
Personal injury insurance is required for all athletes competing overseas.
This can be completed prior to departure and is administered through
Snow Sports New Zealand in Wanaka, please email Jo Forbes. Details available on request.
No athlete will be entered into a FIS event unless a copy of a valid
insurance certificate has been supplied to the administration of SRNZ
prior to departure.
