VOLKSWAGEN NATIONAL SKI TEAM HEADING OFF

The teams are getting ready to depart for the northern hemisphere, with the first members of the National Ski Team departing this weekend.  Mark Bridgwater, together with coaches Nils Coberger and Pete Sandford are heading off early to get some speed work done, they will be joined next week by Ben Griffin, Tim Café, Angus Howden and women’s team member Janelle Miller.  Keep up todate with their progress by clicking on to our new Volkswagen National Teams Homepage.  Early races for this group include the NORAM races being held at Lake Louise and Panorama.

The Volkswagen National Development Team FIS group head away in early December and the younger athletes are training from just after Christmas until the middle of February.  Both groups will be based in Canmore in Canada and their training base is Nakiska.  This group will be under the expert guidance of Mike Gould, who with Pete Sandford and a chef, Chris Griffin, will provide fantastic training for these aspiring athletes.
